Get the Full system: learning how to learn in a way that makes money

1. Embrace Time Management Techniques:

Time management is the foundation of time creation. By implementing effective time management techniques, you can optimize your schedule and make the most of every moment:

a. Prioritize Tasks: Identify and prioritize your most important tasks. Focus on high-value activities that align with your goals and mission-based learning approach.

b. Time Blocking: Dedicate specific blocks of time for different tasks or activities. Assigning fixed time slots ensures you have dedicated focus and reduces multitasking.

c. Pomodoro Technique: Utilize the Pomodoro Technique, where you work in focused bursts of 25 minutes followed by short breaks. This method enhances concentration and combats fatigue.

There is a super magnifier that you can use in combination with either one or more of the methods mentioned above to get multiply effect of efficiency, and that is : to get into the flow.

Six steps into the flow — the flow is a concentrated state where our efficiency and effectiveness would be hugely enhanced.

Half an hour in the flow state would equal 3–5 hours of unconcentrated work, so it’s a huge time saver and also the quality and outcome are much better.

The flow state applies to creation and output of knowledge as much as input, but I think most people need to get into the flow for creation more given the ratio of 9:1 of input: output.

Today I’m going to illustrate the step-by-step of how to get into the flow for an optimal and concentrated creation experience, which you will come out feeling satisfied and confident.

The first step is to enter into the role. There are 3 elements here.

The environment changes the state of the person.

For example, when reading, we prefer to study in the library rather than in the dormitory. Why? Because the library is relatively quiet, the overall layout is orderly, and people around you are also learning / working, so it will be easier for you to enter the role of a learner. Once we recognize our role, we will use this identity to demand ourselves: it is time to learn or to create.

On the contrary, in the dormitory, there is a computer on the seat, the roommate next to you is playing games, and occasionally friends who drop by come over to chat for a few words, all of which tell you: you are not a learner now.

So the first thing is to change the venue. If you can, try not to study in the bedroom, you can choose the living room or study room (if available). If you are renting a small single room, try to install a small desk. In short, avoid studying on the bed.

Different rooms in the house bring different role perceptions. In the bedroom (or bed), you will feel like resting, chilling out; while the living room could be a place to watch TV, find a place where it is naturally conducive to character of a learner. This is subjective, I have an entrepreneur friend who runs millions of property portfolio who finds it very productive to work at the kitchen — it is her place of concentration because none of her family member would disturb her while she is in the kitchen.

You can help yourself enter the learning state by creating an environmental field. This field is the field of the field, the field of the aura.

many of us really want to learn faster and better. But once you get home from a day’s work and lie down on the sofa, it’s hard to start learning. Especially many young people like to watch dramas while eating. After the meal is over, when the drama is still playing, they comfort themselves. After watching this episode, I will start learning foreign languages.

Such a result, we can also guess, often watching one episode after another, and can’t stop until it is time to sleep.

This is all human nature. In order to solve this problem, we got a very good suggestion that is: we can create an environment dedicated to learning in our own home. It is to designate a space only for study.

We can design this space to be very comfortable, such as a chair that is comfortable to sit on, and a small table next to it, where your books and iPad can be placed, and a cup of tea can also be placed. There is also a nice desk lamp if you want to treat yourself a little better.

But there is only one requirement, which is this chair. As long as I sit on it, I only allow myself to do one thing, and that is to study. You can read books, course, online seminar, but you are absolutely not allowed to do other things.

if you want to watch dramas or play games, you can go to another space, even if you want to change the chair. But this specific space can only be used for learning.

Once this environment is established, you create a barrier for yourself like a magician. Sitting on this chair is equivalent to entering this magical barrier. In this space, Do only the one thing prescribed.

I personally tested this experience to be effective. Now you can stand up and create such an environment for yourself in your own home.

The second is to keep the desktop clean.

A messy desktop will interfere with our concentration. Halfway through the book, you may unconsciously pick up a bag of snacks and immediately enter the “home person” state.

I have a trick, which is to put a really big mouse pad (also called desk pad which is just around $13 on Amazon), outside the mouse pad, I can tolerate it being messy, but don’t put anything on the mouse pad. That way, as soon as I’m back in my seat, I can put a book on the mouse pad and start studying.

In other words, you need to create a zone on the desktop which allows you to concentrate.

The third is to change clothes.

Don’t study in pajamas, try to change into more formal clothes such as shirts, such as a POLO shirt. I have to admit that when wearing formal clothes in the company, the personal spirit will be upgraded to a higher level. There is a reason why the professionals are dressed up in suits. You don’t need to go that far, there are many professional looking but also comfortable clothing at Zara.

Sit upright as much as possible instead of slumping on a chair.

The second step is to find your flow period.

Everyone’s state of the day is different. Sometimes it’s better in the morning, and sometimes it’s better in the evening. It is recommended that you monitor yourself to see when you are more efficient

Productive Flourishing (www.productiveflourishing.com) has developed a tool for recording time efficiency, the Daily Productivity Heat Map (Daily Productivity Heat Map), as shown in Figure 2–2, red is 5 points, orange is 4 points, and yellow is 3 points, 2 points for green, 1 point for gray. Through it, we can see very clearly which time period we are most efficient. The red part in the picture is my flow time period:

-11:00–12:00

-16:00–18:00

— 22:00–24:00

Knowing your flow times allows you to plan the right tasks at the right time. For example, these are the three time points I use to work on important things. The rest of the time is spent on relatively unimportant things. Among them, 22:00–24:00 is mainly used for studying, because I will not be disturbed during this time period.

You can also download this tool directly on the website, and then find your flow time slot, the URL is https://www.productiveflourishing.com/free-planners/.

The third step is to adopt the school mode.

“If you want to learn or work at home more effectively, arrange it according to the usual schedule during class at school.” This is the advice given to me by the class teacher in junior high school. It seems that the method is stupid, but the effect is really good.

Every time you study for a period of time (say 30 minutes), take a break for a few minutes. During the study period, only focus on study without considering other factors; when it is time to rest, relax completely and do not think about study.

You will definitely ask, what if you are disturbed by other things when you are concentrating? Let’s look at the scene:

— If the matter is urgent, it must be dealt with immediately.

— If it’s not urgent, then find a post-it note and list it as a to-do item, and wait until you finish studying this time period to deal with it.

In “learning how to learn in a way that makes money”, I break it down into step by step so you can follow and it is practically applicable.

2. Leverage Automation and Delegation:

To create more time for learning, leverage automation and delegation to streamline tasks and free up your schedule:

a. Automate Repetitive Tasks: Identify tasks that can be streamlined or automated using technology. Utilize apps, tools, or software to automate processes such as scheduling, social media management, or email organization.

b. Delegate Non-Essential Tasks: Delegate non-essential tasks to others, whether it’s hiring an assistant, outsourcing certain responsibilities, or seeking help from family and friends. By focusing on your core competencies and passions, you create more time for learning and monetizing your knowledge.

3. Implement Productivity Hacks:

Boost your productivity with effective productivity hacks that maximize your efficiency:

a. Time Chunking: Group similar tasks together and allocate specific time blocks for them. By minimizing context switching, you enhance focus and concentration on specific tasks, making the most of your time.

b. Eliminate Distractions: Minimize distractions to maintain focus and flow. Silence notifications, create a dedicated workspace, and utilize website blockers or productivity apps to prevent unnecessary interruptions.

c. Break Down Goals: Break down big goals into manageable milestones and tasks. This approach provides clarity, enhances motivation, and allows for better time allocation.

In the “learning how to learn in a way that makes money”, I share how to break down a goal, or what I call “mission” and that is the most efficient learning method — “mission-based learning”.

Conclusion:

By implementing these strategies, you have unlocked the art of time creation, allowing you to double your learning efficiency and accomplish more in a day. Embrace effective time management techniques, leverage automation and delegation, and implement productivity hacks to optimize your schedule and make the most of your time.

Remember, time is a valuable resource, and by mastering time creation, you gain a competitive edge in monetizing your knowledge. Embrace these practices, stay consistent, and watch as your learning efficiency soars, propelling you towards unparalleled success.

So, dive into the world of time creation, unlock 72 hours in a day, and witness the transformation in your learning journey and financial prosperity. Get ready to seize the power of time and unlock your true potential!
